The Carpenter's Gift is an inspiring story that lets us realize the importance of helpfulness, forgiveness and acceptance. At first, I cannot get the main point of it and then afterward, I found out that it is such a good story that we can reflect to.
Two years ago, I got to a fight with a close friend. It was just a small fight,but it grew worse. Pride separated the two of us. But almost every night I cried because I wanted to reconcile with her but I had no guts to say "sorry" and just forget everything that happened. It felt awkward to see her everyday while I'm bringing the heavy burden inside me. I missed the our bonding moments, sharing of secrets and problems,and all the stuff that girl friends do. Until one of our friends decided to give me a Bible verse everyday for me to reflect.There was this particular verse that struck me most that it tells about reconciliation and forgiveness. I realized,that verse is meant for me! And I knew, it's the answer to my problem. My friends encouraged me to reconcile with her.Finally, I went to her,said sorry and we hugged each other. We we're teary-eyed that time.
I think, it's the last huge fight I had with her. Moreover, I learned many lessons out of it. My fiends and the Bible verse served as the bridge that connected us again. And I'm very thankful to those kind of friends who stayed with me through thick or thin and especially God, the one who never left me especially when I needed Him the most.
